All about

Juliet Clarke

Juliet has always had a passion for horses, However, coming from a completely non-horsey home, she was always desperate to ride from a young age. She started learning to ride at 6 years old and would help out at local riding schools, alongside a weekly lesson. At the age of 13, she picked peppers in a greenhouse throughout all her summer holiday, saving up enough money to rent a field in her village and to buy her first pony, Charlie! Juliet had endless fun with Charlie, hacking miles to shows and usually wining the local showjumping classes.

Starting her business

After outgrowing Charlie, Juliet had many ‘project’ type horses who she would often break in, school and train. Many of her horses became successful allrounders, competing at affiliated show jumping and eventing competitions. Juliet also worked in riding schools and taught for the North Cotswold Hunt Pony Club for many years, teaching a range of children of different ages. Juliet has always had a good understanding of how horses tick and behave, enabling her to set up her business in 2014 as a horse agent/dealer. She quickly realised that many people, especially the novice bracket, really need someone to help and advise them; from suitability, management and after sales help in purchasing their new horse. Starting her business on Facebook, where she now has a huge following, she has gained much respect in the horse world and has an outstanding reputation.

Selling Horses

Juliet sells on behalf of private clients, as well as also owning some herself.  The history of the horse is identified, and the horse is then thoroughly assessed in all situations: hacking alone/company, traffic, open spaces, jumping and dressage potential/ability. Different levels of rider are used to determine suitability and compatibility. She often takes her horses on fun rides and to local shows, where her volunteer riders enjoy the opportunity to compete. Any quirks, health issues or anything of significance is always mentioned prior to purchase and all our horses are open to a 5-stage vetting. All horses are sold with a law-abiding sales contract which protects both buyer and seller.
